Hinterstoder
Hinterstoder nestled in the wild and romantic Stodertal, the region is surrounded by the majestic mountains of the Pyhrn-Priel area and the Death Mountains. This valley offers countless hiking opportunities, ranging from leisurely strolls to alpine terrain. You can hike to the Tauplitz Lakes via the Poppenalm or to the Grundl lake via the Langang Lakes. The Stodertal is also home to the renowned Schiederweiher. Rare plants can be found here, including Turk's cap lilies and native orchids.
At the end of the Stodertal lies the Baumschlagerreith, a rustic inn offering excellent meals. From there, you can hike to the Steyr Ursprung, the Poppenalm, or the Dolomitensteig. Hospitality is a priority at Baumschlagerreith, and delicious food is available throughout the region. For winter sports enthusiasts, the Hutterer Boeden provide excellent options, with a cable car leading to the popular ski and hiking area. The Floetzersteig trail runs through the Stodertal, passing the Stromboding Waterfall and continuing to Klaus. The Stodertal is also a favorite destination for paragliders, offering breathtaking aerial views of the stunning landscape.
