Schloegener Schlinge

Circonia circular hiking trail

The circular hiking trail starts either in Inning or, optionally, in Schloegen. Parking in Schloegen is subject to a fee. In Inning, there are parking spaces, but most of them are private. It may be possible to park along the road. We started from Inning. The trail is well-marked and begins with a challenging ascent. Once at the top of the mountain, the path continues over many roots. Sturdy footwear and alpine experience are required and recommended.

The trail continues and is well-marked. Soon, we reach the first viewpoint, the "Steinerner Felsen." The breathtaking landscape, with a view of the Danube, is truly worth seeing. After a short break, we continue along the trail and eventually cross meadows and open forests to reach the "Schlögener Schlinge" viewpoint. This is undoubtedly the spot where most photos are taken. After another short rest, we continue our hike. Now, the trail descends the mountain toward Schlögen. Once there, we turn right and follow the road toward Inning. After about 4 km, we switch to a gravel path that runs along the Danube, leading us back to our starting point in Inning. In total, the hike covers approximately 14 km. The route is slightly shorter if you take the road for the return journey.
