Bluntau lakes
The Bluntau lakes are located not far from Kuchl or Golling in Salzburg. Both lakes are actually gravel pits. Due to their unique beauty and the charm of the valley, they have been designated as a protected landscape area. The lakes stand out due to the clarity of their water and their emerald green color. The shores remain untouched by human development, revealing many natural beauties.
If you like, you can walk along the Bluntauroad to the Bärenwirt and return via the Bluntau path, covering about 7 km. The Bärenwirt warmly invites you to relax and enjoy some food and drinks, with outdoor seating available in good weather. The lakes are worth visiting in every season.
